Way back in 1977, Dennis Moore saw the need for upgraded electrical systems on vehicles. After applying his own engineering to alternators with great success, Dennis decided to go into business for himself and The Mechanical Man was born. For over three decades, The Mechanical Man has grown in success and reputation by producing unique alternator and bracket kits to mount durable, high output large case alternators in place of smaller units. With the proliferation of the internet came the abbreviation of "the Mechanical Man" to MechMan.com. Emergency vehicles, Car audio competitors, lowriders, show vehicles, boats, and offroad vehicles ran to MechMan.com to upgrade perilously inadequate charging systems. The new website increased business exponentially, allowing Dennis to upgrade his production facility.

Today, MechMan.com is continually updated and expanded to cover more and more applications with continually increased performance. A high tech alternator dyno, and a state of the art engineering department allow MechMan.com to research and develop electrical components far beyond the those of our competitors. Rest assured, that despite our rapid growth, MechMan.com still maintains the hands-on prompt customer service that we did in 1977.
