Our Story
Shipping high-output alternators since 1978
Mechman has been building and shipping high-output alternators since 1978. What started in a home garage — founded by engineer Dennis Moore — has grown into one of the leading providers of high-output alternators to the automotive aftermarket.
In 2010, Matthew Young acquired Mechman, bringing a fresh vision and a staff with deep, hands-on experience across drag racing, road racing, desert racing, rock crawling, boating, car audio, and commercial and armored vehicles. That blend of knowledge and high-performance engineering keeps Mechman at the forefront of alternator technology, with solutions for a broad range of vehicles and applications.
