Installation Notes:
This unit comes equipped with a smaller 1.75 inch diameter alternator pulley, and will require a slightly shorter drive belt for proper belt tension. Not recommended for sustained use above 5,000 RPM engine speed.
The Elite series 400 amp alternator offers great amperage output and durability at a great price. 6 phase technology, combined with massive twin rectifier assemblies and 12 huge diodes make these alternators totally durable for daily use. These impressive alternators produce 200+ at engine idle RPM and 400+ amps at cruising speeds HOT RATED. Like most high output alternators, this unit comes with a smaller diameter pulley, and will require a 1/2 inch to one inch shorter than stock length belt for proper belt tension in most applications. Installation Notes: This unit may require an additional rectangle to oval adapter harness if the vehicle was originally equipped with the CS144 Heavy duty charging option from the factory. (this is not common) This unit is a direct plug in for any truck originally equipped with the more common oval shaped 4 pin plug as shown.

E Series 400 Amp Gold alternator
Needed an upgrade for car audio bass vehicle. This alternator is a beast. I'm using this 400 amp alongside an off brand 300 amp. 2 runs of 1/0 OFC power, 2 ground runs. Battery delete. (2) JY Power HP-40 lithium (series.) (4) Sundown Audio salt 3k amplifiers w/plexi back plates & LED, amps are strapped. (2) 12" Sundown Audio NsV5d2 subwoofers. Alpine halo ILX-F309 headunit. Did add the P101L wire harness for the 1 volt boost and got me to 16 volts. Right wjere i anted to be. I do not have a problem with voltage drop. Off course, I have minimal drop, nothing like I had before adding the 400 amp. Super happy with this purchase and will be adding a 2nd 400 amp very soon. Couldn't be happier with the way the alternator and harness perform. Wish I would have made this jump Yeats ago. Thank you Mechman.
