This module is for use on GM vehicles equipped with a 2-pin regulator and an RVC sensor (Regulated Voltage Control). Simply plug module into your vehicle's factory harness and tie out of the way. This will eliminate the check charging system code (battery light).
MUST USE 4 PIN REGULATOR STYLE ALTERNATOR TO WORK. THIS IS NOT A SOLUTION FOR STOCK 2 PIN STYLE ALTERNATORS!!!! This will also not fix your charging system if you have something unrelated to the alternators circuit path. This only works for alternator circuit detection.
These are especially popular for the customer who wants to bypass the RVC system so that they can run a stand-alone alternator (GM 4pin / with P101 harness). The reason for this is that when run in the factory form on these model vehicles there will be fluctuating voltage and normally, they will charge at a lower voltage. Although this is all completely normal since the PCM is controlling the voltage in order to acquire max fuel economy, some will opt to go with a stand-alone unit to acquire a higher and more stable voltage.
Keep in mind this does not work with the factory alternator. If you have the factory alternator and ONLY use this P103 plug your battery light will stay off but your 2pin alternator will default into 13.4-13.6 volt charging. While that will charge a 12 volt battery, it is not ideal and will simply lessen the life of your battery along with poor electrical performance. .

Worked on my Saab!
Purchased this for my 08 Yukon XL but decided to try it on my 07 Saab 9-3 that uses the same connector. I also believe GM has some production similarities in the later model Saabs. Using a 4 pin regulator to run 16.1v cold I always had the battery warning message and battery light. Now it does not come up anymore.

Harness
Works perfect as it says but only if you plug in all your other plugs in that you unplug like I did I unplugged my grounding loop because I thought I had to run it through but didn't qn forgot to plug it back in an the battery light came on of course so just went back through and plugged everything in like I should have and everything works perfectly. An the 400amp alt I got works great too! Can't wait to get my sub hooked up.

2 pin module
Fantastic! I've been fighting the RVC sensor for months (one of GM's dumber ideas). This fixed all of my erratic voltage problems within minutes. Delivery was fairly quick as well. Thanks for the great product!
